Today, Americans across the country celebrate Memorial Day. Now many just use this day as a means to enjoy the day off by either going to cook outs, or hanging at the nearest beach/amusement park/pool, marking the unofficial start of the summer season for everyone. However, the real meaning behind the Federal Holiday is to take time to remember fallen soldiers who have died in service of our country. For some, it’s a day of remembrance, solemn reflection, and a chance to grieve as well. For everyone across the country, we here at Heroic Hollywood would like to wish you a safe and happy Memorial Day.

We here at Heroic Hollywood, as we live in a world of superheroes and their cinematic film adaptations also see some of these characters as our modern-day myths. While they are not heroic as true soldiers who die in service of their countries, they are heroic in their own right. So in remembrance of today’s holiday, we wanted to take a look at heroes within the various superhero cinematic universes that died heroically in their roles. If there is a celebrated Memorial Day in the DC, Marvel, X-Men, and other cinematic universes, here are a few heroes that would receive the recognition. Click Next to take a look.
