Without a doubt, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s fourth season is its strongest. Wrapping up on Tuesday, May 16 on ABC, the finale marked the end of one of the best superhero/comic show seasons in recent memory.
From Ghost Rider to L.M.D.s to the Framework, the show took viewers on a fast-paced, interconnected thrill ride that took our beloved agents in practically every direction imaginable. Placing obstacle after obstacle in their path, the show continued to highlight why its characters are some of the strongest and most fully realized out there.
Whether you were excited to see Ghost Rider flame on and crack some skulls, on the edge of your seat when Life-Model Decoys made it difficult to tell who was real and who was a robot, or sucked into the alternate reality of the Framework and the Agents of Hydra arc, there was surely something this season that got you excited about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and had you wishing the show would be renewed for another outing.
Thankfully, a fifth season is coming, but before we get there, let’s take a look at the 5 reasons Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s fourth season is A-game superhero TV.
