Lorenzo James Henrie Cast As Gabe In ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

As we are only two weeks away from the season 4 premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC, more information is coming out about what’s in store for the fourth season.

In an official ABC episode synopsis for the Season 4 premiere titled “The Ghost”, it was revealed that Lorenzo James Henrie (Fear the Walking Dead) has been cast as Gabe. This is most likely the comics character Gabriel Reyes, the little brother of Gabriel Lunas’ Robbie Reyes a.k.a. Ghost Rider.

No description on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s take of Gabe was provided at the time. However, TV Line reported back in late June when it was being majorly speculated that Ghost Rider was coming to the show, this following casting call sheet:

“Also to be introduced in Season 4: a pair of Latino brothers, one of whom is always the most dangerous person in the room, the other paralyzed in a wheelchair.”

Unless “Gabe” is someone completely different, James Henrie is playing the paralyzed brother of Robbie. The episode description also confirms the return of Yo-Yo Rodriguez as well as the debuts of Luna’s Robbie Reyes and Mallory Jansen’s A.I.D.A.

“In the season premiere episode, “The Ghost,” Ghost Rider is coming, and S.H.I.E.L.D will never be the same.

Guest starring are Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez, Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes, Mallory Jansen as Aida, Lorenzo James Henrie as Gabe, Briana Venskus as Agent Piper, Max Osinski as Agent Red, Ricardo Walker as Agent Prince, Edward Gelhaus as skinhead, Ian Hutton as Blondie, Blaise Miller as lab tech, Samuel Barajas as Felix, Bryan Rasmussen as warehouse manager, Wilson Ramirez as Diego, Jen Kuo Sung as Chen, Jerry Ying as thug #1 and Lilli Birdsell as Lucy.

“The Ghost” was written by Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen and directed by Billy Gierhart. “

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 is set to premiere on Tuesday, September 20 at its new timeslot, 10/9c on ABC.
