For years, Marvel has made crappy video games. Gone are the days where we would receive killer stories like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance or Marvel Nemesis: Rise of The Imperfects. For years we have had to deal with a bunch of mobile games, and terrible movie-related games. However, all that will change. After promising a big story on their Twitter account yesterday, Marvel and Square Enix have officially announced a video game partnership that will begin with an untitled Avengers game.

You can check out the teaser trailer below:

Of course, many are disappointed that the big news is a video game announcement. A lot of people on Twitter and Facebook were expecting something a little bigger. However, with the Superbowl around the corner, I think it is safe to say that we will see some new footage from at least one of Marvel Studios’ big 2017 movies. So, just hold out until then! So, how do you guys feel about this? Are you excited to see where this takes Marvel and the video game industry? With the untitled Spider-Man game meant to drop on PS4 this year, the company is taking all the right steps.

No word on the release date yet, but stay close to Heroic Hollywood for the updates!

Just a young writer hoping to become an old writer. From the land Down Under; no, I don't know Jai Courtney.

  • An announcement that Fox was giving Marvel back the Fantastic Four would have been a better announcement.

    • SAMURAI36

LMAO, you clowns have been duped again. Instead, you are getting a lackluster video game, that no one will give a sh1+ about. Stick to movies, Marvel, which is what you’re passingly good at, & leave all other facets of multimedia to DC.

      • Marquis de Sade

How’s that flash movie “NOT” comin’ along, sammy-rai?

      • SAMURAI36.

Stop being such a hypocrite. You rag on people who make false assumptions, yet you’re doing the same now. You haven’t even played the game.

And based on your logic, would it be OK if someone said that DC should just stick to its other multimedia facets because they’re doing better there and stop making films? Seriously baffling.

        • SAMURAI36

First of all, YOU don’t get to tell ME anything about being a hypocrite, when you’re hiding behind my name.

Second, I don’t owe you an explanation for anything I say. You don’t like it, too bad. Deal with it.

And lastly, perhaps you should consult a dictionary for A) what “multimedia” means, & B) an actual name.

          • SAMURAI36.

Well I’m just calling you out for your bs. You’re right, you don’t anyone an explanation. Yet, when people make opinions that are not aligned to yours, you question them and start writing essays as to why they are wrong. They don’t owe you an explanation either.

So take your own advice. If someone here has a different opinion from you, too bad and deal with it.

          • SAMURAI36

Maybe you missed the part where nothing YOU have to say to me means anything, when you are trolling with my name. You wanna admonish me? Fine, but don’t hide when you do it. Be a man with a spine. Otherwise, go kill yourself, troll.

          • SAMURAI36.

Hilarious how the master troll himself, who enjoys inciting all sorts of unnecessary nonsense, is labeling others as such.

FYI, you don’t own this name. Deal with that.

          • SAMURAI36

Maybe you are new to social media, so let me help you out here.

Actually I am the “owner” of this screen name, especially in tandem with this avatar. And since you apparently need help with Disqus, here are the rules:

            https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/2285751

I’ve already reported you, & they said they are investigating it. I just needed your admission of guilt, which you’ve just provided, when you said:

FYI, you don’t own this name. Deal with that.

Also, before you try to weasel your way out of this, I’ve already taken a screenshot of this, & will be sending it to Disqus directly. Just to help expedite things. I’m putting an end to your nonsense immediately.

          • SAMURAI36.

Until that’s done, I’m not going to stop calling you out on your bs. Because you’re so full of it.

          • SAMURAI36

So you’re stalking me too? You are breaking every internet rule there is, just to try to have your vendetta against me? You sound pathetic.

You don’t get to be the BS police, when A) you’re a part of the problem yourself, & B) you don’t call out everyone.

There about 20 people on here, that are the biggest trolls on the internet, but I NEVER see you or anyone else “calling them out on their BS”.

But you’ll wade thru 100 of their responses, just to get to mine. Never mind they litter the comment section with all sorts of dumb gif’s & silly statements.

Why am I so special? Is it cuz I’m far more prolific? More popular? Is it cuz I’m a DC fan? Because from what I’ve seen, none of the Marvel fans get paid this level of attention.

And speaking of attention, I think that’s your only reason for doing this. You want my attention. The reality is, I’ve probably already blocked you under whatever mundane name you used to go by on here, so this is the only way you could think of to get me to focus on you.

Congrats, it worked. But the only reason I haven’t blocked you thus far, is because I dont want you reeking havoc with my name.

They always say, that when a child isn’t receiving attention from the people important to them, they’ll resort to seeking negative attention.

But don’t think for a second, that you’ve “called out” anything. You wanna call me out, then create an account, & face me head on. Respond to me, by refuting my statements. Or, if what I’ve said bothers you so much, then do what I’ve probably done to you already, & block me.

Otherwise, you look/sound lame & pathetic, in becoming tue very thing that you claim to he waging a crusade against.

AND you’ll be banned for it, while I’ll still be here, saying all the things that make you butthurt in the first place.

          • SAMURAI36.

You totally proved me right with your need for an essay of an explanation. But you know, I’m feeling generous so I’ll bite.

Eew I’m not stalking you. But you have been polluting the comments section for so many articles with your “everything DC, and nothing else” stance that it’s a little hard to ignore you. And trust me, I do want to ignore you.

I never call anyone out on their BS? Am I doing it because you’re specifically a DC fan? Nope, wrong. I call Marquis de Sade out on his nonsense too. And judging by his responses, he is the furthest thing from a DC fan. In fact, he’s just like you. Full of overwhelmingly bias statements, but on the Marvel side. And I know this must be tough to get into yours or Marques’ thick skulls, but the whole DC and Marvel thing is not a dichotomy. It’s not an all or nothing. Yes, people can like both DC and Marvel equally. And yes, I am one of those people who wants to support these two and wish for their success. So no, I am clearly NOT part of the problem. People like you and Marquis are because you guys are poisoning the comic book fandom by trying to impose your views, and belittling others who do not agree.

FYI, no I do not think you are special. But you’ve made such a nuisance of yourself, so you have yourself to blame for some of the backlash. My comments are usually positive so the only person wreaking, not reeking, havoc on this site is you.

Lastly, since I’m going to be banned anyway, why get your panties in a bunch? Just ride it out until I do. Geeze.

          • SAMURAI36

You totally proved me right with your need for an essay of an explanation. But you know, I’m feeling generous so I’ll bite.

            Thank you for your “generosity”.

So then, I was right, when I surmised that you’re mad at me, because I’m more prolific than you? Got it. This is what a site called “DISQUS” is all about; we’re supposed to discuss stuff. Just because I’m more intellectually astute than you are, gives you no right to stalk me.

            Eew I’m not stalking you.

“Eww”, you really are more stupid than I thought. In addition to not knowing what identity theft is, you also seem to have no clue as to what (cyber) stalking is.

So here, let me help you:

            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberstalking

Cyberstalking is the use of the Internet or other electronic means to stalk or harass an individual, group, or organization.[1] It may include false accusations, defamation, slander and libel. It may also include monitoring, identity theft, threats, vandalism, solicitation for s#x, or gathering information that may be used to threaten, embarrass or harass.

Cyberstalking is often accompanied by realtime or offline stalking.[2] In many jurisdictions, such as California, both are criminal offenses.[3] Both are motivated by a desire to control, intimidate or influence a victim.[4] A stalker may be an online stranger or a person whom the target knows. He may be anonymous and solicit involvement of other people online who do not even know the target.

Cyberstalkers find their victims by using search engines, online forums, bulletin and discussion boards, chat rooms, and more recently, through social networking sites,[29] such as MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, Friendster, Twitter, and Indymedia, a media outlet known for self-publishing. They may engage in live chat harassment or flaming or they may send electronic viruses and unsolicited e-mails.[30] Cyberstalkers may research individuals to feed their obsessions and curiosity. Conversely, the acts of cyberstalkers may become more intense, such as repeatedly instant messaging their targets.[31]

More commonly they will post defamatory or derogatory statements about their stalking target on web pages, message boards, and in guest books designed to get a reaction or response from their victim, thereby initiating contact.[30] In some cases, they have been known to create fake blogs in the name of the victim containing defamatory or pornogr#phic content.

When prosecuted, many stalkers have unsuccessfully attempted to justify their behavior based on their use of public forums, as opposed to direct contact. Once they get a reaction from the victim, they will typically attempt to track or follow the victim’s internet activity. Classic cyberstalking behavior includes the tracing of the victim’s IP address in an attempt to verify their home or place of employment.[30]

Something is seriously wrong with you. I live in California, BTW. So by all means, feel free to continue giving me a reason to make an example out of you.

But you have been polluting the comments section for so many articles with your “everything DC, and nothing else” stance that it’s a little hard to ignore you. And trust me, I do want to ignore you.

You’re lying. You don’t want to ignore me, you are craving my attention. If you wanted to ignore me, you’d have pushed the “BLOCK” button under my name a long time, ago. Kinda like I did with Marquis. He doesn’t bother me, because I had the common sense enough to BLOCK him.

I probably blocked you as well before, didn’t I? That’s why you’re coming back to cyberstalk me right now. You’re obsessed/fascinated with me, to a sick/sad/lame/pathetic degree.

Dude, I could care less. I don’t care about Marquis. And if it wasn’t for you stalking me, I wouldn’t care about you either. You’ve only managed to make yourself just important enough to me, to consider pressing charges against you for stalking, harassment, and wasting my time.

LMAO, so you’re mad, because I don’t like something that you do like? Newsflash genius: I don’t have to like what you like. What you eat, don’t make me $#!+. That should be the case vice versa as well. There is no law that says anyone has to like both things. And people are more than free to speak on their dislikes.

Your not liking my posts, speaks to how weak and spineless you are. You liking both, has no bearing on me. Just like me liking DC only, should have no bearing on you.

But again, that’s not what this is about. Because you didn’t perform identity theft on Marquis. That’s because you know that Marquis (dumb as he is), is not a threat to you. He’s not someone that is worthy of obsessing over. He’s an idiot, and you know this. Just like you know that I’m not.

Everyone wants a shot at the champ. But you’re not worthy of such a shot, especially when you resort to lame tactics such as cyberstalking to get people’s attention.

And once again, if you really had such a problem with the things I say, then you’d have blocked me a long time ago.

FYI, no I do not think you are special. But you’ve made such a nuisance of yourself, so you have yourself to blame for some of the backlash. My comments are usually positive so the only person wreaking, not reeking, havoc on this site is you.

LOL, once again, this is what it says about stalkers:

When prosecuted, many stalkers have unsuccessfully attempted to justify their behavior based on their use of public forums, as opposed to direct contact.

By all means, keep telling on yourself. Just so you know, I’m screenshotting and printing this entire discussion, as well as all previous instances if you stealing my identity, so that I can use it to prosecute against you, if I have to.

Let me know how much more rope you need.

Lastly, since I’m going to be banned anyway, why get your panties in a bunch? Just ride it out until I do. Geeze.

LMFAO, so I should quit “harassing” you, and let you continue to harass me in peace, is that it? In addition to being weak, petty, lame and pathetic, you are truly out of your mind.

Once again, the only reason I’m giving you any attention, is because you’ve stolen my identity. Once you get what you deserve, I won’t waste another single brain cell on you. Your 15 minutes of fame will be over.

          • SAMURAI36

Better yet, here’s a 3rd option: you could also report me for breaking the rules, as I have done to you.

But we both know you’re not gonna do that, because A) I haven’t actually broken any rules (certainly not the way you & others have done), & B) that’s not what this is really about for you.

  • bingeit 45

    what a letdown

  • Axxell

Can’t complain about their videogames and then chastise them for doing something about it, even if you expected something else. This is great; shows Marvel is not resting on their cinematic laurels.

  • Carl

What’s better is that it’s a multi-game deal with Square Enix subsidiaries Crystal Dynamics (maker of the new Tomb Raider games) and Eidos Montreal (maker of the new Deus Ex games).

  • RNG

Well its not like HH readers werent warned. Personally im excited for a great Marvel game and with the way Square Enix tells stories im optimistic as well.

  • SAMURAI36.

Interesting. I’m excited as to what type of game this could be. I doubt they would do it, but it would be great if there was a shared universe for their video games as well. Hoping to see more of this game soon.

  • SAMURAI36

Since folks are accusing me of bias, here’s an example of others saying the exact same thing I’m talking about:

    https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/01/26/square-enix-marvel-theavengersproject-money-draining-freemium-game/#comment-anchor

This game will be added to the pile of other failed Marvel games. All that pomp & pageantry for nothing.
