‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ & ‘Deadpool’ Finish Box Office Runs

Earlier this week, we found out that Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War has crossed the $400 million mark at the North America box office after only six weeks and now it looks like the other two superhero movies that have so far been released this year, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Deadpool, have finally finished their domestic runs.

According to Box Office Mojo, Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has racked up $330,360,194 million domestically after twelve weeks in release, but more than half of that comes from its impressive opening weekend ($166,007,347 million). The movie has also grossed an additional $542,302,437 million overseas for a global total of $872,662,631 million. That’s probably not as much as Warner Bros. would have hoped for this movie, but it’s definitely not a bad number.

Meanwhile, Tim Miller’s Deadpool has also concluded its domestic run at $363,070,709 million, which is quite impressive considering that the movie only had a reported production budget of $58 million. The R-Rated superhero movie also earned $412,634,673 million in various foreign markets over the course of 18 weeks for a worldwide total of $775,705,382 million. I think it’s safe to say that we’ll be seeing a lot more of the Merc with the Mouth in the near future.

What do you guys think? Which of the two superhero movies did you enjoy more? As always, be sure to sound-off your thoughts on the news in the comment section below.
