CBS Bringing ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ To San Diego Comic-Con 2017

Star Trek: DiscoverySan Diego Comic-Con is just a few weeks away and if you are looking forward to the new Star Trek show, Star Trek: Discovery, you will enjoy this piece of news. The official social media account for the show announced today that Star Trek: Discovery is set to attend this year’s Comic-Con.

The cast and creative team will be coming together for a special panel on Saturday, July 22 at 2:30 PM PT in Ballroom 20. Information on what panelists will be attending is set to be announced at a later date.

“STAR TREK: DISCOVERY will follow the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself.”

Star Trek: Discovery stars Sonequa Martin-Green as Michael Burnham, Terry Serpico as Anderson, Maulik Pancholy as Nambue, James Frain as Sarek, Doug Jones as Saru, Michelle Yeoh as Georgiou, Anthony Rapp as Stamets, Chris Obi as T’Kuvma, Shazad Latif as Lieutenant Tyler, Mary Chieffo as L’Rell, Jason Isaacs as Lorca, Mary Wiseman as Tilly, Rainn Wilson as Harry Mudd, Clare McConnell as Dennas, Damon Runyan as Ujilli and Kenneth Mitchell as Kol.

The first episode will premiere on Sunday, September 24 at 8:30 PM on CBS before releasing the weekly episodes exclusively on CBS All Access. Season 1 of Star Trek: Discovery will be split into two halves, with the first eight episodes being released weekly from Sunday, September 24 through Sunday, November 5. The second chapter of Season 1 will start to come out sometime in January 2018.
