‘Deadpool 2’ Filming To Take Place From June Through September

'Deadpool 2' will begin filming in Canada from June through September of this year, according to the Directors Guild of Canada.

Deadpool filming

It looks like Deadpool 2 is set to start filming in June and will wrap production in September of 2017. The Directors Guild of Canada has listed the film as officially shooting from June 19 through September 18.

This is the most official information regarding the shooting schedule for the film. Initially, it was thought that Deadpool 2 was to begin filming in May, but that’s changed. The sequel will film in Canada.

Earlier this week, Drew Goddard (The Martian) had allegedly joined the screenwriting team and was helping to polish the script for the sequel to Tim Miller’s Deadpool. Original writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, however, are still very much attached to the script. Goddard is still probably involved, but we aren’t clear about how much.

In other Deadpool sequel news, Kerry Washington is rumored to have screen tested for the role of Domino, but nothing has yet been confirmed.

Deadpool 2 doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s worth noting that there was also a promo shot with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, which was initially rumored to have been a post-credits Logan scene.

The sequel will be directed by David Leitch, who is taking over from director Tim Miller.  Deadpool 2 will star Ryan Reynolds and Brianna Hildebrand will also be returning as Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
