‘Deadpool 2’: Ryan Reynolds Celebrates Day 1 Of Shooting

Deadpool 2 Begins Ryan ReynoldsRecently, two-time Academy Award-viewer Ryan Reynolds celebrated that production on Deadpool 2 is coming closer by taking a picture in his Deadpool suit lying down outside of the X-Mansion.  Now, he is just about ready to get back in on his newest adventure on the big screen following the massive success of Tim Miller’s Deadpool.

Reynolds shared an image of the official clapperboard for Deadpool 2 on his official Facebook page. Along with the clapperboard, Reynolds captioned the post:

Day one. Maximum Effort 2.0.

On the clapperbord, we see the names of director David Leitch (John Wick and Atomic Blonde) and cinematographer Jonathan Sela. The image also suggests that the highly anticipated sequel will be shot on 35 mm film.

After over a year and a half of news and speculation regarding the film, it is nice to see that Deadpool 2 is finally starting to shoot. The first film was such a home run and although it may be difficult to capture the lightning in a bottle it possessed, hopefully Leitch, Reynolds and the rest of the cast and crew can bring something special for the Merc with a Mouth.

Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna.

Deadpool 2 will storm into theaters on June 1, 2018.

5 Essential Cable Stories To Read Before His Debut In ‘Deadpool 2’

Deadpool 2
Now that it’s official Josh Brolin will be suiting up as Cable in Deadpool 2, it’s time for everyone to get a crash course on the character so they can say “that’s not how it happened in the comic” when they see the movie with their friends.

Nathan Summers, the future son of Cyclops and Jean Grey, first debuted in 1986, but he didn’t make his full debut as Cable until 1990. Rob Liefeld designed him to be a leader more prone to take action than Xavier and that character trait has persisted throughout his long history. Cable has fought alongside the X-Men in the past as well as fought for mutants survival against the government in a dark future.

Cable is the straight-man to Deadpool’s goofball and I can’t wait to see the two of them come together next year in Deadpool 2. Hopefully Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin have the chemistry to bring this legendary bro-mance to the bigscreen, otherwise Fox will be hearing from a lot of angry fans.
