The second season of Daredevil concluded with Matt Murdock revealing his dual identity to Karen Page. While the ramifications of the reveal will likely be felt on The Defenders, the immediate aftermath will remain unseen for now as the upcoming series will pick up six months after the conclusion of Daredevil season two. In an interview with various outlets at San Diego Comic-Con, actor Charlie Cox revealed that he hopes the conversation between Matt and Karen will be seen one day. Cox stated:

“In the 6 months since DD ended and this show begins, there is so much stuff that I would like to have explored. Like I’d love see the conversation between him and Karen. At the end of Season 2 he hands her the mask, and says I’m Daredevil. I’d love to have seen that conversation. And maybe we will. Maybe we’ll see that in a flashback or something, I don’t know.”

Fans will probably have an idea of how that conversation unfolded when The Defenders arrives on Netflix this month.

“Marvel’s The Defenders” follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

Marvel’s The Defenders stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Deborah Ann Woll, Simone Missick, Elden Henson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Rachel Taylor, Rosario Dawson, Scott Glenn, Jessica Henwick, Elodie Yung and Sigourney Weaver.

Marvel’s The Defenders is set to debut on Netflix on August 18, 2017.
