Disney To Release ‘Nutcracker And The Four Realms’ In 2018

News of Nutcracker and the Four Realms dropped at Disney’s D23 Expo this weekend. The film, which stars Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman, has set a November 2, 2018 release date.

The first trailer for Nutcracker and the Four Realms was released at D23’s live-action panel earlier today. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the footage included glimpses of Morgan Freeman Drosselmeyer and other other, including famed ballet dancer misty Copeland.

The movie is based on Clara, played by Mackenzie Foy, who takes a trip through the four realms on Christmas Eve and is met with several different lands.

The film will be full of magic and is based on the ballet, The Nutcracker. The film also stars Keira Knightley, Sean Bailey, Eugenio Derbez, and Richard E. Grant.

‘Star Wars’ D23 Elite Series Action Figures Revealed

Star WarsNerdist has revealed the first look at three new Elite Series Star Wars Action Figures set to release this year at Disney’s biennial D23 Expo.

The Disney Store will be offering three Limited Edition Star Wars Elite Series Premium Action Figure sets of heroes and villains together including Princess Leia Princess Leia and Darth Vader; Rey and an unmasked Kylo Ren, as well as and the criminal turned Rebel hero Jyn Erso and Imperial Director Orson Krennic.

Each figure runs 10.25 to 11.50-inches tall with over 30 points of articulation and also include fabric outfits, extra hands, as well as an assortment of removable accessories. The Leia, Rey, and Jyn Erso figures each feature rooted hair.

The Elite Series set will run you $79.95 for each and are limited to just 1,000, with each set complete with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
