Doctor StrangeOne of the things that sets Marvel’s Doctor Strange apart from the rest of the MCU is definitely its look. The trippy and visual effects heavy film certainly has a style of its own and this is in no small part thanks to the creative team behind the movie.

We have previously reported  on some of the work done in this area, including alternative designs for Doctor Strange’s costume and Dormammu, and even though that last one looked cool and terrifying, it was just too different from its comic book counterpart. But new concept designs have now surfaced, this time from artist Jerad S.Marantz, that show early variations of the Dread One looking a lot closer to the original source.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

The Academy Award nominated movie for Best Visual Effects, Doctor Strange, will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on February 28, and on Digital HD from Amazon Video and iTunes on February 14, 2017.
