Marvel’s darker-toned Netflix television shows seem to be hitting home run after home run, with the first round of Luke Cage reviews coming in overwhelmingly positive. Marvel will introduce their street level team, The Defenders, as a culmination of four other Netflix series: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. With Luke Cage dropping on September 30th, that only leaves Iron Fist before the entire team is brought together.
As Iron Fist gets closer, the amount of information we’re given about the show is slowly starting to pick up. As of right now, we’ve received very little, with the most exciting tidbit being a brief trailer from this summer’s Comic-Con. Now, it looks as if Danny Rand actor Finn Jones has posted a cryptic message for fans:

The quote is from Lei-Kung the Thunderer, Danny Rand’s mentor from the mystical city of K’un-L’un. Rand was apprenticed to Lei-Kung the Thunderer by Yu-Ti, and learned martial arts from him. It was pretty much a given that Lei-Kung the Thunderer would be in the series, but this Instagram post pretty much confirms it. Now let’s just see if they keep K’un-L’un, or if they make the story more grounded.
