‘Game Of Thrones’: Euron Greyjoy Actor Calls Season 8 Ending ‘Perfect’

Game of Thrones Euron Greyjoy

The actor behind Euron Greyjoy recently called the controversial ending to Game of Thrones “perfect.”

Pilou Asbæk recently discussed the controversial ending to the final season of Game of Thrones when he attended the 26th Screen Actors Guild awards, speaking to Entertainment Weekly on the red carpet. The Euron Greyjoy actor explained that when the cast members read through the ending, they actually gave a standing ovation to the Game of Thrones writers. But the Euron Greyjoy actor went on to explain what his thoughts were about the controversial ending.

The Euron Greyjoy actor called the eighth season a “perfect ending” before explaining that he understood why many fans were so disappointed by the way Game of Thrones wrapped up its sprawling story. The star mentioned that before he joined the cast as Euron Greyjoy he was a fan of the show and would’ve been disappointed with the finale too. He finished his thoughts by comparing the Game of Thrones ending to a break-up. Take a look at what the Euron Greyjoy actor had to say about the Game of Thrones finale below.

“When we had the read-through… we ended up doing a standing ovation for 15, 20 minutes. It was a perfect ending. But people were upset because an era finished. I kind of get it, I was a big fan of the show before I became a part of it, and if it had ended in that way, I would have been angry as well. Because when something you like so much says, ‘No,’ it’s like a break-up. And Game of Thrones broke up with millions of people all over the world, and they got upset.”
