A new photo from the set of Grant Gustin’s The Flash offers fans a fresh look at Sendhil Ramamurthy as Bloodwork, the first major villain of the show’s sixth season.

During yesterday’s The Flash panel at San Diego Comic-Con, The CW announced that Heroes alum Sendhil Ramamurthy has joined the series in the recurring role of Dr. Ramsey Rosso, a.ka. Bloodwork. Rosso was featured in the first trailer for the show’s sixth season, and now there’s a newly-surfaced set photo that gives fans another look at Ramamurthy’s villainous character.

You can see Sendhil Ramamurthy as Bloodwork for Grant Gustin’s The Flash below.

Created by writer Joshua Williamson and artists Pop Mhan and Christian Duce, Bloodwork made his debut in the pages of 2017’s The Flash Vol 5 #29. He is a Central City morgue employee and hemophiliac who developed the ability to transform his flesh into blood-like physiology after experimenting with blood properties.

Details on the sixth season of the series are currently under wraps, but the creative team is said to be casting a new male villain and a “socially awkward” scientist to appear opposite Grant Gustin. Filming is currently underway.

The series stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, and Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny / Elongated Man

The Flash airs on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. Stay tuned for the latest news on the Grant Gustin series.
