‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Worldwide Total Now At $816 Million

After being released exactly one month ago today, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has grossed a worldwide total of $816 Million. Having added approximately $9.733 million in North American theaters, the film has now earned a total of $355.47 million at the domestic box office. With an additional $4.4 million overseas, the international total for the film has reached $461.1 million.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 now ranks as the fifth highest-grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe film, placing behind Captain America: Civil War, which earned $1.15 billion worldwide.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Directed by James Gunn, the film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell.
