Hilary Clinton Likens Herself To ‘Wonder Woman’ In Surprise Video

Cinematography Learn - Wonder WomanHilary Clinton compared herself to the Amazonian Princess in the new Wonder Woman film during a surprise video that was presented at the Women in Film Los Angeles’ Crystal + Lucy Awards on Tuesday night in Beverly Hills.

The former First Lady of the United States of America shared a special message to honor Elizabeth Banks who was being honored with the the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film when she revealed that she had yet to see the DCEU’s first female-led blockbuster but assured that she was planning to as she praised director Patty Jenkins as fabulous and likened herself to Diana as she told the audience:

“Something tells me that a movie about a strong, powerful woman fighting to save the world from a massive international disaster is right up my alley.”

Jenkins took to Twitter earlier this afternoon, thanking Clinton for her kind words as she told the politician she hopes she will enjoy the film. You can see the video of Clinton (via The Hollywood Reporter’s Chris Gardner) followed by Jenkins’ response below.

The film stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Lisa Loven Kongsli as Menalippe, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, David Thewlis as Sir Patrick Morgan, Elena Anaya as Doctor Maru, Ewen Bremner as Charlie, Saïd Taghmaoui as Sameer and Eugene Brave Rock as the Chief. ’Wonder Woman’ hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins.
