‘Mad Men’ Star Jon Hamm Praises ‘Wonder Woman’ & Gal Gadot

Jon Hamm Wonder WomanWonder Woman has been out for less than three weeks and it is almost being universally loved by fans, critics as well as Hollywood voices. Several actors, producers and directors have shared their love for Patty Jenkins’ DC film starring Gal Gadot as Diana Prince.

Recently, one of Gadot’s former co-stars, Jon Hamm, who worked with her on Keeping Up With the Joneses, spoke with ET Tonight where he shared major praise for the film. Hamm also revealed that he sent Gadot a “really long email” after seeing the film as he was happy for his friend’s success.

“If you look at what’s happening right now with Patty Jenkins’ movie and my friend Gal Gadot’s movie, [Wonder Woman], and the box office right now, it’s been a pretty good year,” he adds. “I got to see that movie Friday, and it was so fantastic and I was so pleased for all involved, especially Gal. I sent her a really long email. I was just so pleased [with Wonder Woman]. It’s so nice when, like, a true friend of yours has success like that. It’s really kind of amazing.”

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Lisa Loven Kongsli as Menalippe, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, David Thewlis as Sir Patrick Morgan, Elena Anaya as Doctor Maru, Ewen Bremner as Charlie, Saïd Taghmaoui as Sameer and Eugene Brave Rock as the Chief. The screenplay was written by Jenkins, Allan Heinberg and DC Films’ co-head Geoff Johns, with story by Heinberg and Justice League director Zack Snyder.

Wonder Woman is now playing in theaters.
