With every knew new bit of information shot at us related to Spider-Man: Homecoming, I cannot help but get even more excited. Having grown up with Spider-Man ever since I was a small child, I always loved the lore that his comics explored. Whether it involves saving New York, or just trying to make ends meet, the story of Peter Parker is perhaps one of the most universally relatable arcs in comic book history.

Based on pictures and videos from the set, as well as the information we were given from San Diego Comic-Con, it seems like director Jon Watts has a good grasp at bringing Tom Holland’s Peter Parker to the big screen in his first standalone film. You already got me with the coming-of-age John Hughes-like vibe, but the larger-than-life superhero elements are what always bring us back, and that includes the quieter moments.

Watts shared a video on his Instagram account, which Tom Holland eventually reposted. The video has no sound, but it depicts Holland sitting in front of a big green screen background. Behind Holland, we see some mysterious shadows coming in. You can check out the Instagram video below.

What do you guys think this clip is telling us? Is this a scene in which Peter Parker is pondering about a decision he has to make? Is it about asking a girl out to the Homecoming dance? Or maybe he’s starting to have a firm grasp at the famous quote, “With great power comes great responsibility.” Also, do the spooky shadows represent something? I guess we will have to find out once Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7, 2017. Meanwhile, you can follow us for more news related to the new film.
