Fans already know that with Justice League a few months away, the iconic DC comics team of superheroes will be facing off against storms of Parademons as first introduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But along with those Parademons, the League will have to face against their most powerful foe yet: Steppenwolf.
After the release of Batman v Superman, Warner Bros. released a deleted scene from the film that was eventually added to the R-Rated Ultimate Edition. The scene depicted Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) standing within the Kryptonian birthing place that brought Doomsday to life. We then see a quick glimpse at the main antagonist of Justice League as Steppenwolf appears onscreen.
Steppenwolf (who will be voiced by Ciaran Hinds) will be bringing the world to newer dangers than it has ever experienced. Thankfully, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash are united together to defeat Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons.
So far, besides a LEGO set no other depictions of Steppenwolf in the film have been revealed. Thankfully, Batman News has revealed an official action figure of the character, giving fans a first hint at what he may look like.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Amber Heard as Mera, J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Julian Lewis Jones, and Willem Dafoe.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League opens in theaters on November 17, 2017.
