Star Wars Last Jedi Vanity Fair Kathleen Kennedy PhotosVanity Fair has revealed a behind the scenes look at legendary photographer Annie Lebovitz’s photoshoot on the set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi captured by none other than Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.

The Last Jedi-centric issue of the magazine featured a stunning portfolio taken by Lebovitz as it delivered a ton of new information regarding the upcoming eighth episode of the Skywalker saga and officially revealed new character names as well as the name of the new luxurious casino city known as Canto Bight.

The behind the scenes images per Kennedy reveal Lebovitz setting up the shot of the wealthy inhabitants of Canto Bight, Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley having their photo for the cover taken on the Ahch-To set, as well as a Lebowitz capturing a shot of Hamill and the late Carrie Fisher together, plus a look at Adam Driver in his full Kylo Ren costume wielding his crossguard lightsaber.

You can check out the images in the gallery below.

The film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, Kelly Marie Tran and Andy Serkis. An official synopsis has yet to be released but The Last Jedi will pick up directly where Star Wars: The Force Awakens left off and will dig deeper into the new characters introduced in Episode VII as it explores Kylo Ren’s humanity as well as how Rey deals with the discovery of the force within her.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15, 2017.
