‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Star John Schaech Would Play Wolverine

Recently, the Heroes & Villains FanFest was taking place at San Jose, California. Much like any exciting convention involving all things fanboys love, panels are held featuring stars of some of our favorite movies and television shows. One of those panels featured cast members from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Actors/actresses present included Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Ciara Renee, and John Schaech.

One of the many questions asked during this panel was on what character would they most want to play if they were given the opportunity to choose. The most eye-opening choice was made by John Schaech, who portrays Jonah Hex in Legends of Tomorrow.

If I could play any character, it’d be Wolverine. I feel like he’s why I wanted to start acting.

Fascinating. Schaech would love to portray the iconic mutant that has been made famous on the big screen by Academy Award-nominee Hugh Jackman. Jackman is set to hang up those claws after the third standalone Wolverine film, which is set for release on March 3, 2017. I need a bigger sample size of Schaech’s acting portfolio to see if he’s a good fit to take over the mantle, but it’s always nice to see an actor express their love for certain characters.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will return to The CW on Thursday October 13 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.
