First Trailer For FX’s ‘Legion’ Debuts At SDCC

The first official teaser trailer for the upcoming FX television series Legion starring Dan Stevens has finally been released online, giving us our first look at the highly anticipated series, which will arrive on FX in early 2017. The action-packed trailer premiered at the end of the Marvel: Cup O’Joe panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The series revolves around a character named David Haller, who is a mutant with various powers due to his multiple personalities. In the comics, he’s the son of Gabrielle Haller and Charles Xavier, the founder of the X-Men. However, don’t expect any iconic X-Men characters to show up in the series.

You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the show’s official synopsis:

“Legion” is the story of a troubled young man who may be more than human. It introduces the story of David Haller, who since he was a teenager, has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.

Starring Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton and Bill Irwin, FX’s Legion premieres in early 2017.
