Earlier today, Entertainment Weekly revealed the cover for its annual San Diego Comic-Con preview issue, featuring the stars of Marvel’s Black Panther, directed by Creed‘s Ryan Coogler. Now, EW has revealed twenty never-before-seen images from the upcoming movie, giving us a closer look at some of the characters we’ll meet in it.
Some of the highlights include a Hobbit reunion between Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis (here playing Everett K. Ross and Ulysses Klaue, respectively), a behind-the-scenes shot of Coogler directing Chadwick Boseman, who can be seen in his full Black Panther garb, and, of course, an image of the star-studded cast of Marvel’s next standalone superhero movie assembled.

The film also stars Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown and John Kan. Here’s the official synopsis:
“Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.
Marvel’s Black Panther hits theaters on February 16, 2018. Meanwhile, San Diego Comic-Con 2017 kicks off on July 20th. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for more updates and live coverage from the event.
