‘Inhumans’ Showrunner Says Lockjaw Will Be Standout Character

Inhumans Marvel

Marvel’s Inhumans will introduce Black Bolt and the Royal Family to Marvel Cinematic Universe when the series debuts this fall. While the MCU has featured a number of unusual characters, including a talking raccoon and tree in Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel’s Inhumans may introduce the oddest character yet: a giant inhuman bulldog named Lockjaw who serves as a teleporter and escort to the Royal Family. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Scott Buck talked about bringing Lockjaw to life on screen and predicted how viewers will respond to the character.

Buck anticipates that Lockjaw will become a fan favorite character on the series.

“Lockjaw is probably going to end up being the audience’s favorite character. We certainly enjoy working with him. He’s fun to write, he’s fun to shoot. There’s not too much more detail than that that I can give, but he is going to be a standout on the show.”

“After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.”

Marvel’s The Inhumans stars Anson Mount, Serinda Swan, Iwan Rheon, Ken Leung, Eme Ikwuakor, Isabelle Cornish, Mike Moh, Sonya Balmores and Ellen Woglom.

Marvel’s Inhumans will have a two week run in IMAX theaters starting September 1 before premiering on Tuesday, September 26 on ABC
