Matt Smith Wants To Join Marvel

While attending New York Comic Con, Smith was asked about the possibility of him joining the Marvel Universe. After all, David Tennant (Doctor Who) was a major player in Jessica Jones.

Smith responded by saying, “answer is…when will they ask me?” The Internet quickly responded with their love for this idea and with character suggestions for the 11th Doctor.

This isn’t the first time that Smith has indicated he would like to take on a superhero character.Previously, he wrote a letter to Warner Bros. indicating that he was interested in a role in upcoming Batman projects, including the possibility of playing The Riddler.

Tennant is the only Doctor Who cast member to join the Marvel Universe, Christopher Eccelston was in Thor: The Dark World as the dark elf Malekith and Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy. Gillan is also set to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The sequel will be arriving in theaters on May 5th, 2017.

Rumors have been circulating that Smith could be returning to the popular BBC’s Doctor Who.
