In four Spider-Man: Homecoming TV spots that aired during this year’s NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, we see that Peter Parker (Tom Holland) has had an interesting journey trying to make it to Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) viewing party for the game.
In the first ad, Peter is in his Spidey suit just receiving his invitation. Unfortunately for Peter, in the second ad, Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) sends him back to buy snacks for the party. In the third ad, donning his suit, Peter meets DJ Khaled at the convenience store – learning that he is also a guest at Stark’s party.
Finally, we reach the fourth ad – where we finally see the actual party happening. Peter runs excitedly into the room where he runs into Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson. If you think meeting Johnson was enough to leave Peter starstruck, he then gets to sit on the couch right next to Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs.
As Peter gets himself comfortable for the game, he sees on the TV that Stark is actually enjoying the game in court-side seats. Such a Tony move.
