The Team Assembles In New Image From 'Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2'

When the first Guardians of The Galaxy film hit theatres in 2014, many expected a fun, and simple romp. However, no one was prepared for what we saw. Marvel Studios, with the help of Super‘s James Gunn, took a property that was surplus, and made them one of the staples of the Marvel image. A team of c-listers, went on to outgross Spider-ManCaptain America and X-Men at the box office in 2014; a truly remarkable feat. In addition to all of this, the film’s sheer quality was the icing on the cake.

Now, three years later, the Guardians return in what looks to be another stellar hit. The new movie, Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2, will detail Star-Lord’s confrontation with his father, Ego (played by Kurt Russell). Of course, twists and turns will be on the way as the team is introduced to new characters, and villains, such as Mantis (Pom Klementieff) and Kismet (Elizabeth Debicki).

Recently, Marvel unveiled their April Collector Corps, which, surprise, surprise, stars the Guardians! Below, you can check out a brand new image from the film which assembles the team.
