Today during their Hall H presentation, Marvel Studios shared some concept art from their upcoming third entry in the Thor series, Thor: Ragnarok. The concept art depicted the God of Thunder and the Incredible Hulk head-to-head in a battle against each other. Concept art was also revealed for the villain, Surtur – confirming the character’s appearance in the upcoming movie.
Unfortunately, filming is currently underway in Australia so the cast and crew were unable to make it to the convention, but that did not stop from Marvel sharing a special little video was shared showing what Thor and Hulk were up to during the events of Captain America: Civil War. This video, directed by Taika Waititi is done in a mockumentary style fashion and brought the entire house down at Hall H.
During the presentation, Marvel also shared a brand new logo for the film. Talk about unconventional, yet retro. I think with Taika Waititi in the director’s chair, beyond just the film’s logo – if this mockumentary video presented was any indication, we are in for a truly one-of-a-kind entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Thor: Ragnarok, the third installment of Marvel’s popular Norse Super Hero, is directed by Oscar®-nominated filmmaker Taika Waititi (Two Cars, One Night, What We Do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople). Kevin Feige will produce the film, joined by executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Thomas M. Hammel and Stan Lee.
