Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures have released a new trailer for Blade Runner 2049, the long-awaited sequel to the Ridley Scott-directed sci-fi classic.
The new trailer gives us another look at the follow-up which picks up thirty years after the events of the first film following the new Blade Runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling) after he discovers a terrible secret that could send what is left of society into chaos prompting him to go on a search for Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) who has been missing since we saw him escape with the replicant Rachel (Sean Young). Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, with Dave Bautista and Jared Leto. Here’s the official synopsis:
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
