‘Power Rangers’ Will Include Both Alpha 5 And The Dinozords

More information has begun to seep out regarding Lionsgate’s 2017 reboot of Power Rangers franchise. A brand new imagining of the original elements that debuted in 1993 as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. So far images of the powers rangers themselves and their arch-nemesis, Rita Repulsa  played by Elizabeth Banks have been released. Former cast member of the TV show, Bryan Cranston has also been confirmed in the role of Zordon, the Rangers’ alien leader.

However within the amazing news storm that is San Diego Comic-Con it has been revealed by Nerdist that the new Power Rangers movie, will include two more iconic aspects of the original television show. Alpha 5, Zordon’s plucky robotic assistant will feature as well as the Dinozords. The inclusion of the Dinozords, all but confirms that we will see the Megazord on screen. The Megazord is arguably the most iconic aspect from the original show, when each of the Rangers’ dinozord transforms into one giant robot to fight an equally massive creation of Rita Repulsa.

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late

Power Rangers stars Elizabeth Banks, Bryan Cranston, Dacre Montgomery, Becky G, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott, and Ludi Lin.

Power Rangers will be released in the United States on March 24, 2017.
