PredatorThe upcoming Predator sequel/reboot is shaping up to be a very promising film. While production and release dates have been moving around, the latest casting news have set the bar high for the long-awaited movie. And now, we have new information about the kick-off date for principal photography.

According to My Entertainment World, The Predator is expected to start shooting as early as February 20, 2017, and as previously reported the film is expected to be released on February 9, 2018, so that gives director Shane Black and the stellar cast almost a year to work a worthy sequel/reboot of the beloved franchise.

Next year’s The Predator is said to be a follow up to 1987 classic, which was helmed by John McTiernan. Directed by Black (The Nice Guys, Iron Man 3, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), the cast includes Boyd Holbrook (Netflix’s Narcos), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Keegan-Michael Key (KeanuKey and Peele), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse) and Sterling K. Brown (The People v. O.J. SimpsonThis is Us).
