It looks as though Sony are planning to take advantage of Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s forthcoming release by coming up with new box sets containing their original Spider-Man movies.
Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and other outlets are all indicating that Sony is planning to drop all five of their original Spider-Man movies in the near future. As it stands, there appear to be three separate box sets according to Spider-Man News. The first, dubbed Spider-Man: Origins, is a four-disc set that contains the Sam Raimi trilogy – and it appears as though an extended cut of the third film may be included as a part of this collection. The second, Spider-Man: Evolution, is a three-disc set that features the Marc Webb duology. The third is called Spider-Man: The Legacy Collection, and it contains all five movies remastered in the 4K HD format.
