‘Riverdale’: Madchen Amick Teases Season 2 & The ‘New Looming Threat’

Riverdale

Madchen Amick, who plays the role of Alice Cooper on Riverdale, was recently promoting the return of Twin Peaks and, in a conversation with Collider, was asked what fans can expect from the CW show’s second season.

“Yeah, I know a lot of really good paths that we’re all gonna take, and it’s exciting. I’m impressed that the writers come up with these trajectories for the characters and families, and how they intertwine. From what I’ve heard about Season 2, it just sounds like it’s gonna be an even better season than the first one. There’s a new looming threat that’s gonna be showing up in Riverdale for Season 2 that I think you’re gonna really enjoy.”

The “looming threat” probably has something to do with whoever it was that shot Fred, Archie’s dad, in the season one finale. Sure, it was discovered who it was that actually murdered Jason Blossom, but as quickly as Riverdale closed that chapter, they started another one.

It could also be that the new threat has a distinct connection with Jason’s murder, or with the Blossom family. There’s also the fact that the town of Riverdale will be seeing the return of Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos), and Veronica and Hermione will have to contend with that.

Riverdale season two will be premiering on The CW on a new day and in a new timeslot on Wednesday, October 11 at 8/7c.
