‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Details New Characters

We’re a few months away from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and new character descriptions, pictures, and details have been released. There are a couple of alien creatures and storm troopers highlighted below, along with their name, species, and general personality details. While it’s obvious that the stormtroopers will have a role, it’s unclear to what capacity the remaining characters will play a role.

In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Name: Moroff

Species: Gigoran

Description: Moroff seeks out combat zones to sell his brawn and firepower to anyone who might need it. The mighty Gigoran mercenary figures there’s money to be made for a towering heavy gunner.

Name: Rebel Commando Pao

Species: Drabata

Description: An amphibious Drabata, the fierce commando Pao charges into battle with a full-throated battle cry of “Sa’Kalla!” He joins the Rogue One team on its historic mission to secure the Death Star plans.

Name: Scarif Stormtrooper Commander

Trooper Class: Stormtrooper

Description: Specialist stormtroopers stationed at the top-secret Imperial Military headquarters on Skarif, Shoretroopers patrol the beaches and bunkers of the planetary facility.

Name: Hovertank Driver

Troopers class: Stormtrooper

Description: Imperial combat drivers operate the Empire’s arsenal of armored repulsor vehicles. Combat drivers are highly armored, relying instead on the thick skin of their vehicles to protect them in the battle.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk, Diego Luna, and Forest Whitaker.

The film hits theaters December 16, 2016.
