Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have given us another glimpse from the set of Avengers: Infinity War.
On their Instagram page, the Russo Brothers shared a new image from the Infinity War set which features the directors on a production golf cart in the Serengeti, which seems to be doubling for the African nation of Wakanda in the film. With the image came a humorous caption reading “Tootsie Roll and Winter Fresh, deep in the Serengeti.”
Check out the Russo’s image below:
Wakanda was first spotted as an Easter egg on a map in Iron Man 2, before being mentioned in Avengers: Age of Ultron and finally depicted for the first time in the end scene of Captain America: Civil War. It’s been a long time coming, but Wakanda will finally be explored in full in next year’s Black Panther. The Serengeti is a perfect real world location to double for Wakanda on film.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautisa, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin.
As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
