‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Trailer Reactions Reach Galactic Proportions

Reactions to the brand new teaser trailer for the much-anticipated 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' have hit the web, exciting fans across the galaxy.,

The Last JediFinally. After about a year and a half in anticipation, we now have our first official look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Rian Johnson’s take on the iconic franchise looks to be quite promising, and seeing the characters both old and new in this trailer gets one’s heart pounding with excitement.

Right from the beginning, the opening shot teases us into thinking we are looking into yet another starry sky, but we are then fooled when we see Rey (Daisy Ridley) getting herself to breathe properly as she places her hands on a rock on the island where she finds Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

Of course, fans who had the privilege to see the new trailer at Star Wars Celebration Orlando had the best possible experience in viewing the new footage. Being surrounded with thousands of fellow fans as well as having LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy, director Rian Johnson as well as four of the main actors (Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Kelly Marie Tran and Mark Hamill) in the same room must create some palpable energy within the crowds.

As the trailer finally dropped online this morning, the internet has definitely awakened with excitement. Fans are so hyped to finally hear Luke Skywalker speak for the first time since 1983, and the fact that the new characters introduced from The Force Awakens have left such an impact on audiences only proves the power of what Star Wars has in the culture.

Here are some of reactions from people who were at the panel as well as those who caught the trailer online:
