Fans of the Young Justice animated series were thrilled when it was announced last year that the show was being revived for a third season after Cartoon Network cancelled it in 2013. We learned a few months ago that Season 3 of Young Justice will officially be called Young Justice: Outsiders and slated to debut on a new DC-branded digital service that will arrive in 2018.
Nolan North, who voiced Conner Kent a.k.a. Superboy on the beloved series, recently appeared at Awesome Con where he spoke a little bit about Season 3, thus confirming his return. During his panel, North revealed that they have so far recorded five episodes of the new season, even though it has yet to be revealed how many episodes Season 3 will consist of.
“Yes, yes it’s happening, we just recorded episode five. It’s happening.”

It has yet to be confirmed how many actors from the original cast is back for Season 3 of the animated DC show. We know 100% that Khary Payton is back as Kaldur’ahm a.k.a. Aqualad who confirmed it in an interview earlier this year. In addition to that, Jason Spisak, who voiced Wally West a.k.a. Kid Flash, hinted that he is also set to return to the series back in February when he shared a clip of Kid Flash’s cameo in Teen Titans: The Judas Contract.
Young Justice: Outsiders isn’t the only big DC show that will debut on the new digital service. Akiva Goldsman, Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns and Sarah Schechter are working on bringing the Teen Titans to the world of live-action with the upcoming Titans series which is also set to kick-off in 2018 with the new service.
“In “Young Justice: Outsiders,” the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. In the highly anticipated new season, the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.”
Young Justice: Outsiders is slated to premiere sometime in 2018 on DC’s new untitled digital service.
