The previous episode of Supergirl featured the return of Kara and Alex’s father Jeremiah after he had spent years as a prisoner of Cadmus. However, the reunion was short-lived after it was revealed that Jeremiah was working alongside Cadmus in a plan to access a database of the world’s alien population. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series star Chyler Leigh discussed Alex’s reaction to her father’s betrayal and the dark direction it could send the eldest Danvers sister down.

Leigh discussed the conflicted feelings Alex with have about her father’s betrayal.

“It’s hard because when they realize that there’s a deeper issue going on with Jeremiah, you don’t really know where his loyalties lie.”

Leigh explained that those feelings will send her down a path that will lead to a confrontation with the sinister Lillain Luthor.

“When that’s questioned and Alex gets put in a position where she’s questioning it, it becomes this deep, dark intense realizing, her coming to grips with the fact that this isn’t in her control. Basically, Alex goes head-to-head with Lillian Luthor, so it’s a really powerful episode.”

How do you think the confrontation between Alex and Lillian Luthor will end? Is there more to Jeremiah’s betrayal than meets the eye or has be truly gone beyond redemption? Share your thoughts below!
