‘Thor: Ragnarok’ To Reportedly Undergo One Week Of Reshoots

Thor: Ragnarok
Reshoots are becoming the new normal with major Hollywood productions, and it seems as though Thor: Ragnarok will continue the trend as a week of them scheduled in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution have recently uncovered a casting call for Thor: Ragnarok extras that will be needed the week of July 12 through July 19. The casting call is asking for physically-fit white men between the heights of 5’10” and 6’1″ for approximately ten hours of work.

At the current time, Marvel Studios have not officially confirmed that these reshoots are taking place, but given that Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2Wonder Woman, and Spider-Man: Homecoming all had reshoots and turned out great, it should become apparent that reshoots are being utilized to make the best movie possible instead of serving as some kind of last-minute course-correction.

Thor: Ragnarok collides on November 3, 2017 with a cast that includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor Odinson, Mark Ruffalo as Doctor Bruce Banner (The Hulk), Tesssa Thompson as Valkyrie, Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin Borson, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange, Karl Urban as Skurge, Jeff Goldblum as En Dwi Gast (The Grandmaster), Tom Hiddleston as Loki Laufeyson, and Cate Blanchett as Hela.

5 Reasons We’re Excited For ‘Thor: Ragnarok’

Thor: RagnarokGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hasn’t even been out a week, and we’re already looking forward to the next Marvel movies. Spider-Man: Homecoming is first up, but it doesn’t look quite as interesting as Thor: Ragnarok.

The trailer for the film is incredible. The vibe, the action, the set-design, the soundtrack, every element of the trailer screams, “This is a different kind of Thor movie.”

And that’s exactly what we need. Thor: The Dark World was the most easily forgettable Marvel sequel, only distinguishable from the original for its use of fan-favorite villain Loki. Thor: Ragnarok looks poised to switch up the formula, seeming more like a fun intergalactic romp than a brooding space epic.

Judging from the trailer and other positive buzz, there’s plenty of cause to be excited for Thor: Ragnarok. Here are the 5 reasons why.
