Watch The VFX Breakdown For ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’ Season 4

One of the most impressive seasons to date, the fourth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was filled with tension, action, and spectacular VFX that rivaled the likes of the MCU movies. With the fourth season over, Emmy-nominated visual effects studio CoSA VFX has dropped a spectacular video that showcases how VFX was utilized to bring the world of S.H.I.E.L.D to life.

The video mostly shows off the bombastic finale but there are many shots of the whole season. The most interesting visual tidbit comes from the Doctor Strange Easter egg in the beginning of the video. There’s also a few pretty cool shots of Ghost Rider, and you can check all the footage out below.

The fifth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will debut in the fall of 2017. The Marvel show will be shifting from Tuesday nights to Friday nights, and will air at 9/8c instead of 10/9c on ABC.

Ever since  2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been shaping the way that Superhero films are being made. While comics were certainly a popular resource to pull from, the MCU has pushed the superhero genre into the mainstream and causing studios to make bigger and bigger movies every single year. This accelerated launch into the superhero genre from nearly every studio has given rise to DC making their mark to have a cinematic universe as well. While the previous DC Extended Universe films have had little critical success, Wonder Woman was released to big box office and high critical reception.  This film did a lot of things differently, but found a perfect blend of action, comedy, and hopeful inspiration. It broke ground in representation as well as in superhero film quality. Marvel has made some great films, but there is a lot that they can learn and be taking notes of.
