Last week on The Walking Dead, it was all about the Kingdom and their decent to revolution. Ezekiel spent most of the episode still trying to keep the peace. However, when poor Benjamin dies (as a result of Richard’s poor planning at igniting a war), Ezekiel is now ready to bust some heads. As is Carol who finally learns the truth about Glen and Abraham’s demise. Even Morgan’s “All Life Is Precious” mantra no longer applies, as he kills Benjamin. Needless to say, the Kingdom is ready for war. Now all they need is Rick, the Hilltop, and a few other people they don’t know about. Check out more in our recap below.
This week is all about a confrontation between the Hilltop community and The Saviors. After getting almost 5 minutes of no dialogue showing life at the Hilltop, the Saviors arrive unscheduled. Their goal this time is not to raid them for supplies, but to take a special someone from the Hilltop Community as a result of Negan killing the Sanctuary’s doctor (thanks to Dwight’s lie). Gregory tries to weasel his way with Simon in addition to the rest of the Hilltop hiding Daryl from them.
Meanwhile, Sasha and Rosita make good on their promise of killing Negan. Taking a road trip to The Sanctuary with a newly acquired rifle, the two make small talk (remember they don’t really like each other as a result of both being in love with Abraham) with each other and maintain their commitment of vengeance against Negan. The two observe Eugene at The Sanctuary and question if he’s working an angle or has joined The Saviors. As they try to get a shot at Negan, they are unsuccessful as he is surrounded by Eugene and the doctor. The two manage to find their way into the compound, to rescue Eugene, but he refuses and runs back into the compound. Sasha manages to go inside, but she locks Rosita out saying everyone needs her and it’s not “her time.” As Rosita is leaving, she sees someone with a crossbow.
