Watch Andy Serkis Transform Into Caesar In ‘War For The Planet Of The Apes’

War Apes Andy Serkis Caesar With just a few weeks to go, 20th Century Fox has released a new featurette revealing showing the transformation of Andy Serkis into Caesar in War For The Planet Of The Apes.

The team at Weta Digital did an incredible job bringing Caesar to life. This is their third Apes film and they just get better and better. Creating a film where most of the cast are apes can’t be an easy task. I’m definitely excited to see the final product.

The video shows us the magic that happens behind the scenes. Check it out below!

Directed by Matt Reeves, War for the Planet of the Apes stars Andy Serkis (Caesar), Toby Kebbell (Koba), Woody Harrelson (Colonel), Judy Greer (Cornelia), Steve Zahn (Bad Ape), Amiah Miller (Nova), Tty Olsson (Rex), and  Terry Nortary (Rocket). Here’s the official synopsis:

Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel (Woody Harrelson). After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both of their species and the future of the planet.
