As of today, Wonder Woman will have officially grossed over $750 million at the global box office.
The DCEU’s first female-led film now ranks second in the franchise behind the global take of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice at $873.3 million. Behind Wonder Woman is Suicide Squad at $745.6 million in third, and Man of Steel which kicked off the DCEU in 2013 in fourth place at $668 million. Wonder Woman is also the highest grossing female-directed film of all time sans a male co-director over Kung Fu Panda 2‘s global take of $665.7 million. The film has helped push the DCEU past the $3 billion mark at the global box office.
As for comic book films in general, Wonder Woman ranks in fifteenth place behind Marvel’s The Avengers at $1.5 billion, Avengers: Age of Ultron at $1.4 billion, Iron Man 3 at $1.2 billion, Captain America: Civil War at $1.1billion, The Dark Knight Rises at $1.085 billion, The Dark Knight at $1 billion, Spider-Man 3 at $890 million, Batman v Superman, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at $858 million, Spider-Man at$821 million, Spider-Man 2 at $784 million, Deadpool at$783 million, Guardians of the Galaxy at $773 million and The Amazing Spider-Man at $757 million.
The film stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Lisa Loven Kongsli as Menalippe, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, David Thewlis as Sir Patrick Morgan, Elena Anaya as Doctor Maru, Ewen Bremner as Charlie, Saïd Taghmaoui as Sameer and Eugene Brave Rock as the Chief. The ‘Wonder Woman’ Characters Ranked From Worst To Best
Well, Wonder Woman is finally here and the world still seems to be reeling from the impact. As great as a film as it was, the title hero didn’t carry the movie by herself. There was a ton of supporting characters that all played an important role in carrying the movie’s plot forward. Plus, every character in this movie was carried by strong performances throughout the cast!
