‘Wonder Woman’: New Image Of Robin Wright As General Antiope Released

A new look at Robin Wright as General Antiope in the upcoming Wonder Woman film starring Gal Gadot has been released online.

WonderEmpire Magazine has revealed a new look at Robin Wright as General Antiope in the upcoming Wonder Woman film starring Gal Gadot.

The film set during the fall  follows Diana Prince (Gadot) after, an air force officer, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine),  crash lands on the island of Themyscira — the home of the Amazons — and informs them of the great war going on in the outside world. Diana finds herself compelled to enter the conflict as she believes can help bring an end to the war.

In the film, Wright plays the sister of Queen Hippolyta and aunt to Wonder Woman which executive producer Charles Roven described to the magazine as “the greatest warrior of all time”.

For the role of Antiope, Wright revealed that a big part of the reason she signed on was “to get in the best shape of my life at 50 years of age”.

Director Patty Jenkins also explained to the magazine that she created a boot camp to prepare the women for their roles as Amazonian warriors in the film:

“It was a riot. We had 80 incredible women, all living in one Italian summer camp, from supermodels to the best female boxer in the world. It was rangy women just stalking around with their badass moves in droves, all becoming best friends and all super-intrigued by one another.”
