Back in 2014, J.J Abrams’ Bad Robot and Paramount Insurge announced that director Dan Trachtenberg will helm a post-apocalyptic thriller titled Valencia. No other details about the project were revealed, and eventually, everyone pretty much completely forgot about it, until now, because it has been revealed that it’s actually a follow-up to Matt Reeves’ Cloverfield!
During the premiere of 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, fans were treated with the first official trailer for the movie, which is titled 10 Cloverfield Lane. While it takes place in the same world as Cloverfield, it appears that it’s not actually a direct sequel to the movie. Producer J.J. Abrams’ provided the following statement to Collider about that:
Regardless, expect to see an awesome marketing campaign for this movie in the next couple of months. Starring John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher, Jr., 10 Cloverfield Lane is set to hit theaters on March 11th, 2016. You can check out the first trailer below.
