10. Fitz’s Redemption
Thanks to the events of the Agents of Hydra story arc, Fitz is a changed man. In fact, all of the agents will need some serious counseling as they now have two lifetimes of experiences to deal with. One in the virtual world, The Framework, the other in the real world. Both Fitz and Mack had some serious trauma since they left and came back to the real world. Mack has to deal with the loss of his virtual daughter, Hope.
Fitz on the other hand, has even more of a problem. In The Framework, he was Hydra’s number two. He oversaw tyranny, murder, and all sorts of other evils. He ordered the detaining and killing of Inhumans as well as those who resisted against Hydra. He then had to come to terms with the atrocities that he did, knowing that he’s capable of unspeakable evil as well as the good he’s done in the real world. Because he had the arc of being a supervillain towards the end of this season on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., expect him to try and do good to overcome all the damage he has done. Aida was his and Radcliffe’s responsibility and in effect, everything within The Framework is his making. That’s a lot of guilt to hold in. For the sake of balancing his character arc, he will be on a path of redemption next season.
