24: Legacy: ‘Scandal’s’ Dan Bucatinsky Joins Reboot

Fox’s 24: Legacy continues to add star power to their upcoming reboot. Former Scandal alumni Dan Bucatinsky has signed on to join the cast. Additional casting includes Mad Men‘s Charlie Hofheimer and Blue Bloods’ Coral Pena. They have all joined as series regulars.

These actors will be joining Straight Outta Compton and The Walking Dead star Corey Hawkins who has been cast in the lead role playing Eric Carter. Legacy will focus on Carter who is an Army Ranger who comes home from combat overseas and learns that his troubles are far from over. It is under pressure and threats that he must turn to 24‘s Counter-Terrorist Unit.

Additional casting includes Teddy Sears, Anna Diop and Jimmy Smits.

While Legacy will be a reboot of the popular series, it will feature an all-new cast while maintaining the same structured episode style. Some of the original creators will be back for the reboot, 24 alums Manny Coto and Evan Katz are writing the script and will be producing alongside Howard Gordon and Brian Grazer. Stephen Hopkins will direct the pilot.

Kiefer Sutherland will not be returning for 24: Legacy. He starred in nine seasons and a TV movie playing Jack Bauer.
