7 Reasons Why ‘Arrow’ Is Better Than ‘The Flash’ This Season

Previous1 of 8

Say what you want about the DC Cinematic Universe, but the DC Television Universe has been on a roll. What first started with Arrow, has now expanded to Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl and will soon have future shows added as well. With such an extensive universe, the CW now has a superhero show on almost every day of the week.

There has always been a “which is better” debate between the two premiere shows The Flash and Arrow. Many have always thought of Arrow as being “Batman-Lite” in its approach as well as its darkness. Meanwhile, The Flash has had all the fun, hopefulness, and optimism that a comic book normally has, it’s literally a comic book brought to life. For the first two seasons, since it premiered, many have thought that The Flash was a better TV show. However, this season Arrow has been firing on all cylinders. After the less than well received season 4th season of Arrow, the show has gone back to its roots, and put out some quality episodes this season. It’s arguable that this season of Arrow is just as good, if not better than this season of The Flash. Here are a few reasons that this season of Arrow is actually better. Click Next to take a look…

I agree with all of these except the bit about the flashbacks. So far, they’ve added very little to the story and only seem to function as a way to get Oliver back to the point he was at in the Series Premiere.

  • Could it be that every character in the show is a Freaking Speedster, anyone remember that line from the Incredibles? From Syndrome? “When everyone’s super, no one will be.” That’s the Flash in a nutshell. Barry isn’t special when everyone around him has the same damn power. Between him, reverse flash, kid flash (wally), girl flash, Zoom, Rival, Savitar
    Aka, Future Flash, etc…

Why not bring in Hermes, Godspeed, Black Racer and Amazo and Black Flash???

This show was awesome in Season 1 and part of Season 2, now, it’s jumped the damn shark. Get rid of the other speedsters so Barry can shine and give him some villains to deal with that aren’t speedsters. Give us more Grodd, White Lightning, Abra Kadabra (who I think is coming), Brainwave, Capt. Boomerang, they did him on Arrow, bring him over. Mirror Master, Blacksmith, The Rogues all together….

We need people that are different than Barry or the Flash is doomed.

They both have many flaws. I agree with the how many speedsters can we fit in an hour show BUT Arrow is just as flawed. Arrow has also had many archers like every season And the continuing Flashbacks which are such a bore now adds nothing to the show other than Olivers continuing self flagellation… I Blame Myself For EVERYTHING! And how many Canary’s do we have to endure? As well as mad dog who looks like Jason from the Friday the 13th movies, We laugh every time he wears that mask. Oh! And the so called Mr. Terrific… the stereotypical comic relief guy that isnt funny. Both shows have flaws… Arrow needs new writers because they suck and are so predictable. We created a drinking game that if you say the comment before the characters everyone else takes a drink. So much fun!
