Carrie Fisher’s sudden passing has touched a lot of people around the globe, and Adam Driver was her latest cast mate in Star Wars: The Force Awakens to pay tribute remembering the time spent together while filming Star Wars: Episode VIII.
In an interview during his appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Driver talked about his latest projects including Martin Scoresese’s Silence and recalled his time spent with the late star:
“As you can kind of tell from meeting her, she burns very bright and has such a great, very generous energy,” he continued. “For that to suddenly not to be on-set, whether talking about it in publicity or just in life…When you see her around at a Star Wars event or anywhere, to have her character – not only her character in the movie – but her missing from that very small unit is a tragedy.”
Adam Driver also confirmed that they completed shooting earlier on spring of 2016.
“We finished the second one last summer. I think that was the last time I saw her… on-set being princess Leia”
