‘Agent Carter’ Casts Madame Masque & More

With New York Comic-Con currently underway, it was only natural that we would get some pretty exciting news about a few of the Marvel TV shows. A couple of months ago, Tara Butters and Chris Dingess, who are the showrunners of Marvel’s Agent Carter revealed that Madame Masque will make her small-screen debut in the upcoming season of the ABC series, and it looks like we finally know who is going to portray the supervillain.

It has been revealed that The Newsroom alumna Wynn Everett will be going up against Haley Atwell’s Agent Carter in season two, as the actress has been cast as Whitney Frost, a Hollywood actress and inventor who eventually becomes Madame Masque in the comics. Here’s what the show’s executive producers had to say about the casting:

Whitney Frost is a character with a storied history in the Marvel comics, and we’re excited to get the opportunity to introduce her to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,Inspired by Hollywood icons like Hedy Lamarr and Lauren Bacall, we knew we needed an actor who was classically glamorous and fiercely intelligent. Wynn is both, and we’re thrilled to watch her bring this formidable character to life.

Also joining the regular cast of the show are The Fault In Our Stars actress Lotte Verbeek, Devious Maids alumn Reggie Austin, and lastly Raising The Bar star Currie Graham. The latter will be playing Frost’s husband, while Veerbeek is set to portray Edwin Jarvis’ free-spirited wife, Ana Jarvis. Austin will be playing Jason Wilkes, a new love interest for Peggy.

That’s not all though. Dominic Cooper and Bridget Regan will also return for the second season as Howard Stark and Dottie Underwood.
